The Griffin PowerMate facilitates sending keystrokes, mouse clicks, and similar actions to whatever application has the focus. This allows the PowerMate to emulate PowerSDR keyboard commands for the action you want the PowerMate to perform & then use the PowerMate setup program to send that command.

Example:
The keyboard key combination + in PowerSDR changes the frequency upwards by the currently defined Tune Step value.

You then "map" + to an action on the PowerMate, such as rotating the knob to the right.

There is a detailed "how to", the Griffin PowerMate v2.0 Quick Start Guide for installing and setting up the PowerMate with the 2.0 drivers.

You can download the PowerSDR 1.x Keyboard Mapping File for information on the keyboard commands for PowerSDR 1.x and the function they perform.
